The Federal Government will provide $100,000 for a study examining options for all-season road connections between 6 remote First Nation communities in Northwestern Ontario.
Its being called a significant first step toward eventually putting more wealth and opportunity within reach of remote First Nation communities.
Sandy Lake, Deer Lake, North Spirit Lake, Poplar Hill, Keewaywin and McDowell Lake are included in the study.
All communities are north of Sioux Lookout and Red Lake.
