“Legacy”
A Legacy to leave cries the man of fame
I must leave something meaningful under my name.
A castle, a bridge, a large portrait, a part.
These oft the final wish of a proud human heart.
I pondered the ego of my own sinful heart
How different those hours when a Christian departs
For he looks 20/20 on a life so soon gone
And Oh! it’s so clear, God was there all along
His plan and his purpose were there from the start
For he guided each footstep, each choice of the heart.
Human parting is real, there is pain and real sorrow
Just remember for me, real life begins on the morrow.
