Alma Schroeder

It is with great sadness that the family announces the passing of Alma Schroeder, age 96, at her residence at Princess Court Long Term Facility.

Alma was born in Poland and moved to Germany at a young age. In 1953 she with her husband Willie and three children immigrated to Canada and eventually settled in Eton Rugby where they resided until 1982. After her husbands passing, Alma moved to Dryden to spend the rest of her years. she enjoyed camping, fishing, traveling, golf and most of all her family and numerous grandchildren.

Alma is survived by her sister Selma in Germany, her children Vern (Paula), Ella Ostman, and Renee (Andy) Churchill all of Dryden. Also surviving are numerous Grandchildren and Great-Grandchildren. She was predeceased by many siblings, her husband Willie in 1982, Son in law Hugo Ostman in 2008, and daughter-in-law Dorothy Schroeder in 2001.

There will be a celebration of Alma’s life on Tuesday, May 17th from 1 until 4 pm, in the activity room at 10 Victoria . Cremation has taken place, and a private family burial will occur at a later date.
