The arrival of Fall means that flu season can’t be that far away.
The Northwestern Health Unit will be starting up its annual flu clinics at the end of this month.
Manager of infectious Diseases Donna Stanley says they will be rolling out the vaccine a little differently.
Stanley says this year the Ministry of Health has held back its allocation of vaccine to start with.
Because of that, Stanley says the Health Unit will be announcing its flu vaccine clinics a week ahead of time, instead of dates for the entire campaign.
Stanley says initially they will be targeting the elderly and people who might be most at risk of getting the flu.
