Amber Alert Success Story

The Amber Alert program is being credited with the arrest and sentencing of a Regina man who has ties to Dryden.
Christopher Martyn was in Dryden in July with his ex-partner and their then 4-year-old daughter.
He heard in the news that an amber alert had been issued in the search for the 2-females.
He decided to return to Saskatchewan to turn himself in.
Martyn pleaded guilty to assault causing bodily harm.
Court heard that the man assaulted his ex-partner and later calmed down.
Following the assault, the three got into Martyn’s vehicle and drove to Dryden, “a place where they had visited in the past and had good times.”
