Angeconeb Ends Hunger Strike

A short lived hunger strike on the Lac Seul First Nation.
Garnet Angeconeb staged the hunger strike last week to protest the band’s continued use of Kenora Lawyer Doug Keshen.
Keshen is currently under investigation for the way he handled Residential School Survivor Claims.
Angeconeb has ended his hunger strike after a meeting with Chief Clifford Bull.
Bull says he now looks forward to working with Angeconeb and the entire community to foster an environment of healing.
The community has agreed to hold a day of healing and a fall feast to honour the survivors of the residential school system.
