Another Positive Case In Sioux Lookout Area

For the second time in as many days the Sioux Lookout area is reporting a new positive case of COVID-19.

The Northwestern Health Unit says follow up with the person and their contacts has started and anyone identified will be notified directly.

There are now 76 reported cases in the region.

Health officials remind the public that specific information isn’t released due to privacy reasons.

They recommend that everyone assume the virus is in their community and practice preventive measures like physical distancing, wearing a mask in enclosed public spaces and when physical distancing is a challenge, good hand hygiene, and not touching their face.

Anyone who has symptoms, or who has been in contact with a positive case, should self-isolate and get tested.
