It’s been a long wait, but another Syrian refugee family is almost in Dryden.
The Janbali family will begin their travel from their camp in Iraq to Dryden on March 20th.
President of the Dryden Syrian Refugee Committee Ghada Ibrahim says it has been about 1 year and 2 months since they started the process, but once the application was finally accepted, it took about 40 days.
She mentions that they have a rented place for the family that is currently being painted and furnished.
Ibrahim also says the family will be going to school and work shortly after they arrive.
