Anxious Moments for Dryden Fire

A close call for a Milanese Place family this morning.
Dryden Fire Service Deputy Chief Ken Kurz says 12-firefighters and
3 units were dispatched around 8:00 after a vehicle caught on fire.
Kurz says crews arrived and started working on
the underside and interior of the jeep when the situation suddenly changed.
As crews were knocking down the interior fire, the vehicles plastic
fuel tank ruptured, spilling burning fuel around firefighters.
Kurz says his staff was able to quickly extinguish the blaze.
No one was injured but the vehicle suffered major damage.
Firefighters were able to save the garage.
The jeep owner was working on the underside of the vehicle with a cutting torch just before the fire.
