Kenora Rainy River MPP Howard Hampton is calling on the
Minister of Natural Resources to apologize to the 45
hundred people who have lost their forest industry jobs in
Ontario.
Hampton says David Ramsay’s claims Ontario hasn’t been
dramatically effected by the ailing industry is a slap in
the North’s face.

The NDP introduced a motion yesterday that calls for a
jobs commissioner and a better hydro rate for the north.
The motion was defeated.
