Dryden has backed away from a $20-million funding application to
upgrade the Sewage Treatment Plant.
City Manager Arie Hoogenboom says staff has been advised to ask
for $15-million in COMRIF funds.
Some Councilors fear the dollar amount is not enough however Hoogenboom
says the government has advised them that they will only fund a Plant that
services existing users.
Dryden was shut out in the first round of COMRIF funding and Hoogenboom
notes the necessary paperwork will be submitted within the next 2-weeks.
