Appointments for Young Children Can Be Now Booked

Appointments for young children to get the COVID vaccine can be made starting today.

The vaccine is available to those aged six months to 4 after approval for a Moderna vaccine was given by Health Canada earlier this month.

Ontario’s online vaccine contact centre is taking bookings.

Two doses are recommended to be given eight weeks apart.

Public Health Ontario notes without this age group, over 82 per cent of the population is considered fully vaccinated.

It falls to 50 per cent with people who have at least one booster shot.
