Construction crews will be busy the next couple of months by the
Dryden Airport and Ministry of Natural Resources Fire Centre.
Fire Response Coordinator Rob Rutherford says the $2.1-million
reconstruction of the MNR apron is scheduled to begin Monday and wrap up in
late October.
The existing aging apron will be removed and a new, slightly larger
asphalt apron will be constructed.
Rutherford says the reconstruction will have a minor impact on
operations as there may be some slight delays in dispatching to fires.
He is not anticipating any major problems.
