Dryden and all other communities in the area will be losing door-to-door mail delivery.
Canada Post spokesperson Anick Losier says the move to neighbourhood community mailboxes will take place over the next five years.
Anyone who has a rural mailbox won’t be affected.
Losier says there’s no word yet on when the changes will come into effect.
She says Canada Post will work with area municipalities and those who are impacted.
Losier doesn’t see access being a problem for seniors or the disabled in our community.
She notes they will work to address all concerns.
The move was part of a major restructuring at Canada Post announced last week.
