An area man faces four charges of arson after a series of fires west of Dryden yesterday
On Wednesday, November 01, 2017 at approximately 11:37 a.m. members of the Dryden Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) were called to investigate a shed fire on Highway 605, Eton Township (West of Dryden).
While at the shed fire, Dryden OPP officers received a report of two barns on fire on Hwy 17, Machin Township and shortly after arriving the officers received a report of another fire on Salton Road, Eton Township in which a house was on fire.
Machin, Oxdrift and Dryden Fire Departments all attended to assist with the fires.
As a result of the investigation, Dale SKENE (64 years old) of Machin Township has been charged with Arson – Damage to Property X 4 contrary to Section 434 of the Criminal Code.
SKENE is being held in custody until his bail hearing on November 6, 2017.
