Area Mill’s Can Now Access Green Energy Cash

Area Mill’s can now qualify for funding under the Federal Pulp and Paper Green Transformation program.
The Domtar Mill in Dryden is eligible for $27-million in credits for environmental upgrades.
Kenora MP Greg Rickford says they wanted to act quickly to help Mill’s identify possible energy savings and remain competitive.
Abitibi-Bowater Mills in Fort Frances and Thunder Bay can access $33-million.
Rickford says all of the impacted companies have indicated plans to use the subsidies on their mills here in Northwestern Ontario.
