Kenora-Rainy River MPP Howard Hampton says the Provincial Government
could energize the manufacturing sector by cutting industrial hydro rates by
at least 15%.
Hampton says businesses would be willing to exchange guaranteed jobs
for the lower rates.
The NDP Leader says the lower rates wouldn’t cost non-commercial users
anything, because he would reign in the salaries and profits at Hydro One
and Ontario Power Generation to make up the difference.
