Area residents have rallied behind a young boy who is undergoing a complex series of treatments in Winnipeg.
Over $14,000 was raised on the CKDR morning show Wednesday for Vermilion Bay’s Ross Kencht.
Family friend Laura Savinac says anyone looking to lend a helping hand can contact RBC and the Northern Lights Credit Union in Dryden and Vermilion Bay.
The fund is to help 7-year-old Ross Kencht, who is currently being treated at the Children’s Cancer Hospital in Winnipeg with a form of leukemia.
Kencht will be in Hospital for a considerable time so all money raised will help ease the financial burden on the family.
Kencht will likely have to endure a heavy schedule of treatments for 3-years after he’s released from hospital.
