Area Services Board Study Moving Slow

The push to form an Area Services Board in the Kenora District is still alive.
The Unincorportated Ratepayers Association will meet Thursday to finalize a document that will be sent to the Province for approval.
A double majority is needed to form an Area Services Board but member Bill Blower says the biggest problem is that no one seems to know what the magic number is as they are still awaiting word from the Province.
Blower feels more communities are now on board to see the study move forward.
The Association claims Dryden would save $600,000 but City Council fears it would create a second tier of government.
