Area Volunteers Continue To Improve NWO

Connie Calvert is one of several volunteers in the Eagle River area. Connie recently sent the following write-up and pictures……

“The fishers are looking for their catch, the bright houses on the shore and the boat dealing with our high winds have managed to stay upright and we want everyone to feel welcome to come to Eagle River.

Once again, volunteers keep our community bright and welcoming.

Thank you to Warren and Barb Harrison for their woodwork! They left the area but blessed us with the their handiwork.

Bob Hampe installed the display and Basil Goodchild contributed the flowers which Carm Hampe and Connie Calvert planted and will maintain.”

“Mike Durocher loaned his time, equipment and assistance to Machin Revitalization Committee members Councillor Ray Pilkey, Janet Hartley and Juanita Taylor (missing volunteer Geoff Hartley) who cleaned up brush and huge branches at the community rink. What a laborious job!

Once again, a huge thank you to those who contribute their time, talent and expertise to enhance our community. Very much appreciated!”

When not on-air Richard likes to cosplay as 'Spider-Dad McCarthy'. Listen weekday mornings from 6 to 10 on CKDR and on 'the web' at YourSunsetCountry.ca.
