An argument which turned to violence Saturday has resulted in charges against a Sioux Lookout man.
Ontario Provincial Police responded to a Front Street business around 2:45 a.m. for a report of a disturbance.
There officers learned a verbal argument escalated when the accused, a 26 year old, assaulted the other involved party.
He has been charged with:
- Assault with a Weapon
- Possession of a Weapon for a Dangerous Purpose
- Carrying a Concealed Weapon
- Mischief
- Possession of a Weapon Contrary to Prohibition Order
Police did not provide any details on the seizure of the weapon, nor of what kind of weapon was used, and did not say if the assaulted individual required medical attention as a result of the occurrence.
The accused was held in custody over the weekend and appeared in court on December 27th.
