Provincial Police in Kenora have charged a 59-year-old man with arson.
OPP say at around 8:20 on Sunday night they were called to a residence that reported a house fire that was caused by an explosion.
Police and the Kenora Fire Department attended the scene and were able to extinguish the fire.
Police say as a result of an investigation, John White of Kenora was arrested and charged.
