Arson Pikangikum #2

Two young boys have come clean and confessed

responsibity for setting the community school in

Pikangikum on fire.

However, Red Lake OPP say the accused can’t be charged

because they are under the age of 12 and can’t be held

criminaly responsible.

Community Services Officer Beth Chevalier says their on-

site investigation has concluded.

The school, which housed grades junior kindergarted to

Grade 12, burnt to the ground over the weekend.

The community doesn’t know if or how students will be

able to finish their school year.
