Sioux Lookout is enriching their community.
The Health Community Task Force is putting on a Developmental Assets Workshop.
The workshop is happening on October 28 at the Centennial Centre from 8:30 a.m. till 4:00 p.m.
Co-Chair Joanne Peacock says the more assets younger people have, the better.
Peacock says the aim of the workshop is to show people how they can be an asset builder in our children and youth.
She says children and youth who have more assets engage in fewer negative behaviour.
Patricia Howell-Blackmore will also be presenting at the workshop.
Howell-Blackmore will focus on positive youth development, asset building, character education and more.
The deadline to register is October 20th and the cost for a ticket is $25.
