Atikokan Budget Almost Complete

Atikokan Council may be in a position to pass this year’s budget on Monday May 9th.
Staff are taking a final look at the numbers and the issue is expected
to be put to bed by the end of the month.
Mayor Dennis Brown says Council still needs to take a look at financing
capital projects including upgrades to the Water Treatment Plant.
Brown notes residents should receive a well-deserved break as the Town
is trying to set the tax hike below 1%.
