Atikokan has a costly problem on its hands!
The town continues to go through the budget process with almost all of the departments releasing their various reports.
Mayor Dennis Brown says council needs to cut $3 million worth of requests.
Brown says the final numbers depend a lot on the Police Services Board, which takes its direction from the province.
Brown hopes to release this years budget in May.
Meantime, Atikokan ratepayers will be spending a little more for water and sewer.
Council has approved a $10 hike bringing the yearly bill to $600.
