Atikokan Council Approves Municipal Budget

Atikokan homeowners will be paying about 2.4% more in taxes this year.
Town councilors have finalized the 2011 budget.
Mayor Dennis Brown says the only major capital project is engineering work to improve Willow Road.
Brown says the tax increase amounts to about $30.
The township will spend just over $8-million over the next year.
