Thirty-Five years of volunteer bus service in Atikokan appears to be over.
The Rainy River District School Board has decided it won’t purchase a new bus for Atikokan High School. In the past, the school bus has been used for a variety of school events and trips.
The decision caused an uproar among students, who staged a half-day walk out yesterday (March 21)morning.
Volunteers and residents were to meet last evening.
