An Atikokan man is out of pocket $1,500 for leaving camping equipment on crown land.
Michael Green was charged following an April 2016 investigation by the Ministry of Natural Resources and Forestry.
Court heard that conservation officers found a makeshift campsite on the shore of Abbess Lake, nine kilometres southwest of Atikokan.
The Ministry notes it’s illegal to leave vehicles and other objects on crown land and any occupation can’t last more than 21-days without a permit.
