the town of atikokan has received more good news as delta energy of
thunder bay has signed a 20-year purchase agreement with the ontario power
authority to establish a new clean energy co-generation station starting
this fall.
the new plant will create 60-construction jobs and 25-full time
operational jobs.
mayor dennis brown says atikokan hydro will also reap the benefits.

the 50-million dollar, 10-megawatt facility will utilize biomass and
will be located next to the planned laminated veneer lumber plant and
existing fibratech operation.
