Atikokan Wants Change for Service Costs

A change in how Rainy-River District Municipalities contribute to the cost of social services is being explored.
The Town of Atikokan has asked area municipalities to a formula that’s based on each Municipalities tax assessment.
Mayor Dennis Brown says the current system is costing his community too much money.
Fort Frances is against the formula being proposed by Atikokan.
Members of the Rainy-River District Social Services Administration Board is launching a review of the formula.
