Atikokan’s Synergy Wood Products has been sold, and will be relocating to Red Rock in May.
The painted shelving panel company opened last August.
Owner Mike Schusterman says the deal came about while he was in the process of doing consulting work for the new owners of Red Rock Mill.
Schusterman adds that production of the paneling will restart at the mill.
Schusterman has accepted a management position in the Red Rock operation.
While existing staff have been invited to move with the company, it’s expected most of his ten workers may remain in Atikokan.
Schusterman hopes the impact on the town will be minimal.
