Thunder Bay Police say that the City’s latest murder victim died from a beating.
Officials say a postmortem shows that 30-year-old Verna Sturgeon died from blunt force trauma to the head.
The body of the Big Trout Lake First Nations woman was found in a room at a Thunder Bay Hotel last Friday.
Two women who were charged in the case, 33-year-old Joanne Vivier and 28-year-old Michelle Morris remain in custody and will be back in court on Monday.
