Hazel Fulford was a big winner at the Northwestern Ontario Writers Workshop Literacy Awards.
Fulford received one of the biggest awards handed out for her first book “When the Trains Stopped in Dinorwic”.
She was also recognized for her other piece “Wabigoon Burning and Other Stories”.
Atikokan’s John Pringle received top prize in the Fiction category for his piece “Fresh Snow”.
