Back To School Reminders For Area Motorists

A new school year is here and the Dryden Police are asking motorists to be extra attentive the next couple of days.
Constable Kevin Hildebrand says motorists should obey the crossing guard signs and come to a complete stop when school buses have their lights flashing.
He notes failing to do so will result in a $400 fine.
There are specific rules for dropping off students at St. Joseph’s School.
Hildebrand says you’re not allowed your vehicle unattended at the school site.
School drop-off is allowed but continued problems prohibited parents leaving their vehicles.
Hildebrand notes they will be beefing up patrol in school-zones.
