Ban Spit Tobacco #2

The Youth Action Alliance in Northwestern Ontario has

sent 15 hundred post cards to Thunder Bay Atikokan MPP Bill

Mauro.

The Northwestern Health Unit’s Youth group wants the

Provincial Government to ban spit tobacco.

Youth Advisor Roberta Lappage says 10 percent of high

school students use chew tobacco.

The Alliance says spit tobacco is more addictive than

cigarettes and can lead to heart, gum and tooth disease as

well as mouth cancers.
