A Dryden woman wasn’t fooled when confronted by a would-be scammer.
City Police say a resident received several calls from her bank and the bank name even came up on her caller ID.
The woman was told that her account was inactive and was asked for two forms of ID.
She wisely asked the caller for the bank account number but was refused.
The woman contacted her bank and discovered there were no problems.
Police again remind folks to never give out personal or banking information to someone you don’t know.
