Barack Obama Tug-of-War Bid

International Falls is hoping to get U.S. President Barack Obama to visit the Minnesota border community on July 2nd.
That would mean Obama would be on hand for the annual cross-border tug-of-war between Fort Frances and International Falls.
The international tug-of-war celebrates nearly two centuries of neighbourly peace between Canada and the U.S.
International Falls official Rod Otterness says he’s hoping Obama will participate in the tug-of-war if he shows up.
