Barclay residents to hold a meeting on taxation

A meeting is being held this Saturday about the tax situation in Barclay in the City of Dryden.

Organizers say the city has cut a number of services in their neighbourhood, including the Barclay Hall, the landfill.

As well, a school has been closed.

To that end, a gathering is being held and it’s being called the Old Barclay Taxpayer meeting.

Residents there say they want to be treated fairly, and since this is an election year, they feel it’s the right time to address the issue.

The meeting will take place at the Agriculture Society Building at 10 am on March 21st.
