Barrie driver charged in connection to collision

A 34-year-old man from Barrie has been charged in connection to a collision on Highway 17 just east of Dryden.

On Monday afternoon around 2:00, the OPP say they responded to a accident in the Township of Zealand.

Through investigation, police determined one of the drivers involved in the collsion had been drinking.

He was placed under arrest and refused to provide a break sample.

He’s been charged with dangerous operation of a motorist vehicle and failure to comply with a demand.

He’ll appear in Dryden court on January 20th.
