Former Atikokan Police Chief Bill Baxter and the Police Services Board
have reached a severance deal.
The agreement officially closes the book on Baxter’s 30-years with
the Municipality.
Last month, he was fined $1,500 after pleading guilty to
1-count of fraud after using a department credit card for personal use without permission.
During that time Baxter repaid the money and the Town switched to OPP
Service.
Terms of the deal have not been released.
