BC man found guilty in April 2023 collision near Dryden

The man accused of causing a fatal accident on Highway 17 east of Dryden almost three years ago, has been found guilty in the death of two children.

26-year-old Jaskirat Singh has been convicted of two counts of criminal negligence causing death and one count of criminal negligence causing bodily harm in the crash on April 21, 2023.

His trial took place in October of 2025, but Justice Christian Vanderhooft released his reasons for the judgement earlier this month.

He determined the Singh had been driving dangerously and caused the collision with the SUV.

His sentencing will take place at a later date.
