Most snowmobile trails in the Dryden area are now open and the warm weather means more people will be out taking advantage of the conditions.
The OPP say they want to ensure everyone has a safe sledding season.
Officers will be out making sure snowmobilers are complying with all regulations.
Police say the recent warm weather could affect local ice conditions and sledders are urged to use caution.
OPP stress that new impaired driving regulations apply to snowmachiners and anyone caught drinking and sledding can also have their drivers
license suspended.
