Quick thinking by co-workers may have saved the life of a man mauled by a bear overnite at Long Legged Lake about 80KM West of Ear Falls.
MNR Spokesperson Yolanta Kowalski tells CKDR news the victim was in a tent when 2 collegues in a camper heard screams as he was attacked.
They used the vehicle to chase the bruin away & transported the victim to an ambulance which was sent from Red Lake.
The man suffered puncture wounds but is expected to make a full recovery.
Conservation Officers are on the scene investigating today.
