Bear Shot by MNR

The bear which attacked a sleeping forestry worker this week, near
Ear Falls is believed to have been shot by MNR Conservation Officers last
nite.
Spokesperson Jolanta Kowalski says the animal was taken down in a
baited trap around 6 PM.
She says officials are confident they got the right animal.

The bear will be taken to Red Lake for further examination to make
sure it was the attacker.
