Bear!!!!

A close encounter with some wildlife this morning for a Dryden man.
Police say the man was walking his dog when he was confronted by a 75 kilogram bear.
The animal ran at the man but was stopped when he hit the bear with a walking stick.
The confrontation took place south of Pronger Park and east of Thunder Drive.
No cubs were seen in the area.
