Bending Lake Resolution Vote on Hold

Dryden Council has decided to hold off on supporting a resolution regarding the Bending Lake Mine project.
Bending Lake Iron Group is trying to solicit local support to move forward with an iron ore mine southeast of Ignace.
Council decided Monday to wait until the company has nailed down one key element of the application process.
Mike Wood says once that’s completed, the City will be happy to support the project.
A second resolution is expected before Council in November.
