In loving memory of Bernard Claude Barton, age 69 of Dryden, who passed away on Thursday August 25, 2011 at the Thunder Bay Regional Health Science Centre.
Bernard is survived by his wife, of 44 years, Gail, sons; Kris and wife Angie, Lance, Lee, granddaughters; Chelsea and Destiny, sisters; Ella, Bernice, and Virginia, brothers; Charlie, Greg, and Allan, numerous nieces and nephews.
Bernard enjoyed the outdoors, especially camping and fishing with his boys. He loved gardening and had a huge garden. He also enjoyed making jam and helping Gail can veggies. Bernard liked woodworking, he was a carpenter, a prospector, and he had the Barton occurrence goldmine. He loved all the cats and dogs that the family had over the years. One of his favorite pastimes was spoiling his granddaughters Destiny and Chelsea.
There will be no Visitation as cremation has taken place.
A Celebration of Bernard’s life will be held Thursday September 1st, 2011 from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. at the Eton Rugby Community Hall.
