A Senator from northwestern Ontario is in trouble with the political system again, but this time it’s in the United States.
A report earlier today by Vice and now picked up by CBC says Senator Lynn Beyak made a donation of 300 dollars back in May to the Republican National Committee in the States.
According to US election laws, a foreign national cannot make a donation to a political party or candidates.
Beyak also gave her address as Dryden, New York and gave her profession as retired.
A spokesperson from her office says the donation was made in error and is being refunded.
