Businesses in the 200 block of Scott Street have come up with a proposal to install video cameras along the block in an effort to reduce criminal activity.
But Town Councilor Stru Gilson likens the idea to the George Orwell novel “1984”?

But Councilor Rick Wiedenhoeft disagrees and feels average law abiding citizens have nothing to fear from the cameras.
The idea is being referred to the administration and finance committee for consideration.
